Here's the start of a list:
Read a book at Blasco Library while looking up, at times, to watch the seagulls soar.
Treat your inner kid by riding the train at the Erie Zoo, and learn about the great flood.
Enjoy lunch on Presque Isle Bay at Rum Runner's Cove.
Pick up a tennis racquet and head to Frontier Park.
Head to the Crawford County Fair for tractor pulls, bunnies and horses. Josh Turner is the headliner Aug. 25. http://www.crawfordcountyfair.net/
Abandon convention and become a Parrothead at Key West Phest (date TBD).
Go fishing on Fish for Free Day in Pennsylvania on June 6.
Take a boat taxi ride from Dobbins Landing to Presque Isle's Waterworks.
Take a sunset tour on the Victorian Princess.
Cry foul at Jerry Uht Park (don't forget to have a hotdog).
Jam at 8 Great Tuesdays at Liberty Park, July 6 through Aug. 24.
Dig the your toes into the sand at the Sunset Music Series at Presque Isle State Park's Beach 1, starting at 6 p.m. Runs June 9 through July 14.

Run in the dark at the Moonshine Shuffle
Take a family picture.
Pitch at tent … in your own backyard.
Take a pontoon boat ride at Presque Isle.
Grill sausage, eggs and toast for breakfast at one of Presque Isle's grilling areas.
Enjoy a sunset drink at Zebro's in Barcelona Harbor, N.Y.
Enjoy the drive to the Saturday farmer's market in Westfield, N.Y. (starting after Memorial Day weekend) and hit the antique stores on the way back.
Pick blueberries.
Go strawberry picking at Mason Farms in western Erie County (late May).
See champs skip a stone 40-plus times on the Allegheny River at the The Rock In River
Festival
in Franklin, Pa., on Aug. 28 (2009

Get out the sidewalk chalk and draw your own piece of art in the driveway -- find inspiration, if you need it, at the Erie Summer Festival of the Arts (June 25-27).

At Spotlight Dance Studio, we have evening classes for kids all summer long! They can choose from ballet, tap, jazz, irish, lyrical and hip hop dance classes. We also offer week-long morning camps throughout June and July to keep the kids busy.
