I have a good friend who is a very good realtor. If you're interested his name is Scott Barnes 881-8889. I can promise he'll be very attentive. He's a really nice guy. I like the area around Seneca High School it's not over populated yet, no heavy (…

Moving to Erie

Hi everyone! My name is Christina. My husband, son, and I are moving to the Erie area this summer. My Mom is relocating with us as well. My Dad passed away Dec 26th. My husband is origionally from Fairview and still works in Edinboro. He makes the commute from Boardman, OH every day! His entire family is in the Fairview/Springfield area. We are so excited to be moving up to Erie. I fell in love with the area through our courtship, as we spent much time at Presque Isle, Splash Lagoon, etc. I work… Continue

Hi there...I don't envy you having to show a house while looking for one too! You must be exhausted. Yes, the job actually won't be "posted" until June when the incumbent vacates it. I asked for the Job Description...it's been revised and updated...so I will send it when I get it. I'm not sure if there is a coding test, but most of our openings do require a test of some sort. This job helps all the physician offices (Specialty and Primary Care) with their coding proficiency, updates the CDM's and helps the physicians make best use of their EMR. We are an allscripts user and most if not all of our practices will be live in the next year to be positioned for the technology incentives in the Stimulus legislation. I'll be in touch when I get ahold of the JD. If you want to flip me your resume, I can pass that along to the person that this position reports to!

Christina,

I just found out that we will have an opening in our medical group administration for an Ambulatory Interventional Coding Specialist. This is a coding expert that works with the physician offices to ensure that they are coding accurately and thus getting paid appropriately. If you are interested in learning more, why don't you email me at recordshelp@hotmail.com and I'll fill you in.

Yes, Fry Road is accessible off of West Road which is very close to the McKean exit off I-79. That portion is paved for sure. It was so hot yesterday we had several small brush fires here. BUT, summer is coming. :)

Gosh, I forgot that Fry Road wasn't paved....been there, done that! Hopefully you found something in Fairview that was more "civilized". :). What a BEAUTIFUL weekend. We sat on the deck until after 8 with Ella last night. I can hardly believe this weekend...time to go out and start cleaning up the yard! Have a great day.

Fry Road is a nice area. There is lots of property and wide open spaces. You'll need 4 wheel drive...but it is very close to the highway (I-79) and shopping about 10 minutes either in Summit Township or Edinboro.

You shouldn't have any issues with childcare...there are lots of places in and around the McKean area that are well utilized for before and after school care. There is a place called The Red Balloon in McKean that my son was at for 12 years that was great. It's in an old farmhouse, and the kids plant a garden every year...the director/owner is a Masters degreed educator and the activities were fantastic. There is a state certification system for daycares that you can checkout on the PA Department of Health website.

Let me know how the house hunting goes. There was just a house in our subdivision that sold that would've been perfect...we have acreage, but neighbors too...the best of both worlds.

Keep in touch and ask me anything at all!

You will love McKean...but the elevation gives us some of the heaviest snowfall in the county.... Where is the house at? If you want, I can give you the lowdown on the area.

Yes, there is an AAPC chapter. I can put you in touch with someone that I work with that is involved if you like. I can empathize with your career choice. I got pregnant unexpectedly at 43 and am now the mother of a challenging little baby. She's getting stronger all the time, but for the past 10 months, I've been working full-time---from home part-time and I've hired a nanny for 3 days a week to maintain my sanity...what a lifestyle change it is when you work to pay for childcare and have a fragile situation and the putting the baby into daycare isn't the right thing. Plus, I'm putting my son into college in a couple months. All that said, I am enjoying being a mom again and I won't give up my time at home for anything. It's my time to be there for her and as she gets stronger, we will enjoy that time so much more.

How nice it must be to work with/for your mother! And how lucky she is to have you!

Michelle
