Here are some exciting things going on:

JR'S LAST LAUGH FUNDRAISER NIGHT: 6:30 p.m., bar and kitchen open at 5 p.m.; Jr.'s Last Laugh Comedy Club, 1402 State St.; guest MC is the Rev. Jay Schultz; benefits St. Boniface School PTS. Cost: $13; advance reservations required.

 

LEARN TO KNIT:  6-7:30 p.m.; Werner Books, Liberty Plaza; Shirani Straker, of Cultured Purl yarn shop, instructs first of two classes. Cost: $25.

LENTEN FISH DINNER:  4:30-7 p.m.; All Saints Parish, 11264 Route 97 N; takeouts available. Cost: Adults, $9; children 12 and younger, $4.

 

FISH AND PIEROGI DINNER:  4-7 p.m.; St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 516 E. 13th St. Cost: Adults, $10; children ages 6-12, $5; 5 and younger, free; takeouts, $10.50.

 

ERIE GOLF & TRAVEL EXPO: 2-8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Bayfront Convention Center. Cost: $7; children 10 and younger, free.

SAFENET ANNUAL CHILL-E COOK-OFF: noon-3 p.m.; Brewerie at Union Station, 123 W. 14th St.; local restaurants serve up their best chili for the SafeNet Domestic Violence Safety Network. Cost: $12 in advance; $15 at door; tickets available at Northwest Savings Bank Branches.

 

TASTE OF EAST ERIE:  1-4 p.m.; Iroquois High School, 4301 Main St., Lawrence Park; taste foods from Erie's eastside establishments. Cost: $10 in advance; $12 at the door.

 

ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER:11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Scheffner Hall, 1553 E. Grandview Blvd.; sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 4071. Cost: Adults, $7 in advance, $7.50 at the door, senior citizens, $6.
