Cooking With Kids - Tired of the Same Old Breakfast
We agreed that kids still need a balanced dinner (it's more like adults should eat dinner like a pauper), but breakfast should still rule for kids.
So I've been trying to find more variations on breakfast.
Lately I've been making French toast with the super skinny Pepperidge Farms bread. I layer a tablespoon of peanut butter on one slice, top with bananas, then put the second piece of French toast on top.
Another favorite is to make a omelet filled with some chopped ham, cheese and chopped tomatoes and peppers and put between slices of whole wheat toast.
Yogurt smoothies are another family favorite, although I prefer to do them for after school.
